This year in summer water level of Naini Lake is badly going down… Some old people say that – it is our first time when we saw the lake level so much down…

Silt collection is increasing day by day in the lake, which is main cause of lakes’ bad condition…

Band Stand, Nainital

Band Stand made by Jim Corbett when he was Municipal Board Member. He made this Band Stand from his personal money, which was 4000 rupees.

In the decades of seventies every summer evening by 6 P.m - 7 Pm P.A.C. used to play the band and Mr. Ram Singh was the main hero of this band. He used to play Patriotic songs, film songs and Kumauni (Regional language) songs as well. People had a craze for his melodies. After sometime, this culture has disappeared and the condition of Band Stand was going worst

But after long time, this year from 20^th May 2012 Band Stand is again blaring with melody of Police band…
